What an amazing discovery! - these four rare and highly collectable chromolith printed photograph mounts (together with four more) were removed from a family photo album - some 100 years old! Regrettably, the large old leatherbound, metal-clasped album had succumbed to the ravages of time - but in doing so, had saved these wonderful printed mounts within. They have a perfectly gorgeous aged look - thanks in part to the light thumbing around the edges and would be fabulous for displaying your own cherished photos in a perfect vintage setting - perhaps then framed and kept safe for another hundred years?...(scroll down to read more)...
Klein Chromo Cyclamen Mount

This is a large Victorian chromo printed photograph mount depicting the beautiful work of the acclaimed Victorian artist, Catherine Klein.
This large and impressive mount depicts a spray of pretty pink cyclamen flowers and bears Catherine's signature at the bottom. The mount and aperture have a gold-coloured edge. The aperture is accessible from the reverse and measures approximately 9.5cm by 13.5cm. The mount itself is approximately 23cm by 31cm. The reverse of the mount has decorative flourishes in the corners and a rectangular-shaped aperture for a photo. There is a tear to the reverse, where the photo is inserted, but this is not visible from the front. Some light age-related marking near the edges of the mount.

The reverse of the mount has decorative flourishes in the corners and a rectangular-shaped aperture for a photo. There are a couple of small nicks to to the reverse, where the photo is inserted, but this is not visible from the front. Some light age-related marking near the edges of the mount.
