Rare 1955 Sanderson Abstract Barkcloth (tx460)
This is a very special find! This length of textured cotton known as barkcloth was made by Sanderson and is a fantastic example of the iconic, abstract designs of the 1950s. It is an extremely rare piece of Sanderson screen printed fabric with its very own provinence in the form of the famous Sanderson name on the selvedge and the date of manufacturer which appears near the bottom edge. This date is 29th September 1955. The brilliant, eye-catching design has magnificent impact with its black, white and warm tones against the fresh, pistachio green background.

The fabric measures approximately 124.5cm (49") wide including the selvedge and sold by the half metre; please enquire if you require a longer, continuous length. Sorry; this fabric is now SOLD. It is in unused condition and has no wear or fading (minor markings to selvedge.) Some minor manufacturing flaws in the form of light, sketchy black lines as seen in photos.
