Antique Wedding Ring Patchwork Quilt (astb401)

This stunning antique handstitched quilt is exceedingly pretty! It was made in the 1930s and incorporates a variety of very, very pretty cotton fabrics, mainly florals. These fabrics are often known as feedsack fabrics in the USA although we believe this quilt to be from the North of England. It is entirely handstitched in a wonderful design known as 'wedding ring' with the rings interlinking (to signify the unity of marriage.) The areas within the rings and where they interlink, each display handstitched flowers and the edges of the quilt form a beautiful scalloped edge. The reverse of the quilt is plain white cotton.

This authentic antique quilt would make a very special wedding or anniversary gift, something to be treasured for a lifetime.

The quilt is approximately 80" square. It has no damage and no fading to the fabrics. There are some markings here and there - we do not consider these to be detrimental and given that the fabrics are cottons, the quilt would probably wash very well on a gentle cycle.
