Botanical Flowers Chintz Eiderdown (astb514)

This is a most beautiful and rare vintage eiderdown! It is covered with a cotton chintz which is adorned with a glorious botanical style print of anemones, narcissus, asters and butterfly flower against a white background - and there's a little butterfly too! The eiderdown is edged with a pretty frill in the same fabric and the reverse is covered with a plain green cotton chintz. It has its maker's embroidered label 'Embro' with a goose logo, signifying it is filled with mix of goose down/feather. This quality eiderdown has eyelet air vents in the corners and is exceptionally plump.

This cottage garden beauty will grace your bed beautifully and delight the lover of flowers. The eiderdown is approximately 47" wide by 69" long excluding the all-round gathered frill which adds an extra 1". It has no wear or feather loss and bears its original chintz glaze. It has some watermarks in places to the reverse and some spot markings to the front, along with light over all dull marking to the top edge where it has been handled over the years. The eiderdown can be laundered or dry cleaned which should bring it up lovely and clean.
