Pretty 1940s Rosy Green Wool Rug (tx1037)

A really pretty vintage wool rug which dates to the 1940s. This is one of the prettiest we have seen with beautiful roses and tulips set against the loveliest pale green background. It is woven wool with a hessian backing. This was probably made by one of the quality carpet manufacturer's of the time, such as Axminster or BMK. It is perfect for hearthside or bedside.

The colours in this rug are simply gorgeous and it will be the finishing touch to a beautiful vintage styled room. The rug is approximately 48" by 27". In good pre-used condition. Minor wear at edges and a couple of very small spots of wear on face. It has had a quick freshen up with a foam carpet shampoo - some dulling at the edges remain which a further clean should remove if a problem. Backing has some minor marks.
