The Prettiest 1940s Floral Curtain (tx1151)

1940s curtain panel with the prettiest of floral designs. This long curtain panel is adorned with sprays of dog roses, dahlias, bluebells and forget-me-nots. Some of you may recognise the design as one that has been reproduced by a famous home interiors company - however, this is the original fabric! The fabric is a lightweight cotton/rayon mix which drapes beautifully. The pretty colours of the flowers sit against a gentle off-white background and the whole design lends an air of understated cottage prettiness. The panel has narrow header tape attached and is unlined.

This superbly pretty curtain is the ultimate in true cottage shabby chic. It measures approximately 32" wide by 80" long. In very good condition, there is a small but faint tea-coloured mark on the fabric. The colours of the flowers are generally stronger towards the top and bottom of the fabric. The fabric appears to have been used upside down with the header tape on the bottom so you may want to remove this and add some tape or a hemmed channel at the other end of the panel if using as a curtain.
