Lovely 1930s Feedsack Patchwork Quilt (astb519)

This is a very pretty handsewn patchwork quilt which dates to the 1930s. It is made from a variety of patterned and plain fabrics, mainly cotton and many of them have feedsack type designs. The patterns of tiny hexagons are too many too mention but there are checks, spots, flowers, ginghams and stripes, all in such lovely colours. The quilt is backed and edged with a buttery yellow cotton and rayon mix fabric and the quilt drapes over a bed beautifully.

One of the prettiest vintage patchwork quilts we have seen, perfect for your guest bed or small sofa. The quilt is approximately 70" by 90". It has been laundered and line dried. It is in very good condition for its age, we spotted approx. 10 patches which have some small wear or holes and some minor wear spots to the yellow edging in a few places. Some minor marking to the yellow backing and prior to laundering, there has been some subtle colour run from the yellow backing into some of the pale patches. This is very subtle and honestly adds a gentle tone to them.
