Beautiful Daisy Needlepoint Handbag (hw1170)

What a beautiful vintage needlepoint handbag! One of the most striking and pretty designs we've seen on a needlepoint handbag. It is a wool needlepoint handbag with the main face having a fresh and pretty design of daisies against the perfect strawberry red background. The sides, reverse and base of the handbag are made from a complementary red woven or tweed fabric, probably a wool mix thread. This handbag oozes not only style but quality and has four little metal feet on the base which ensure the fabric is not scuffed. Two beautiful, interlocking tortoiseshell lucite handles secure the handbag so there is no need for a zip or clasp. Inside, the bag delivers another pleasant little punch with its red vinyl lining and zipped side pocket. The maker's name is printed on the lining in gold and is JR of Florida, USA.

Just imagine how wonderful you will feel stepping out with this little beauty on your arm! The handbag is just over 11.5" at the widest, 9" high excluding handles (13" high including handles) and 3.5" deep when closed. In excellent vintage condition. Some scuffing/scratches to interior lining, mark where a label was once fixed. Edges of the woven fabric areas are a little dulled but do not detract. The red may appear brighter in the photos but it can be described as a strawberry red. Main face is clean and unfaded - an exceedingly pretty vintage handbag!
