French Rose Basket Fabric Box (hw1200)

A beautiful vintage fabric covered box dating to the 1930s. This is a large box covered with a lovely cotton fabric with a main design of a rose basket suspended by a ribbon. The design has a subtle tapestry effect to it which is very pretty. The background of the fabric is cream. The inside of the box is lined with a deep dove grey textured paper and the underside of the box has a black lining.

A gorgeous vintage French box for storage and display. The box is approximately 37cm wide 21.5cm deep and 9.5cm high. In very good condition with subtle overall age-related markings to the fabric but no wear. A slight outward bow in the front side of base.
