Rare 1930s Floral Barbola Brushes (hw1370)

We are delighted to bring you these two beautiful and rare brushes. They date to the 1930s and the wooden clothes brush and handbrush are adorned with the most stunning barbola work. They are decorated with their original hand painted barbola work in a pretty pink marbled-effect ribbon design with gorgeous flowers including roses, crocus, berries and rosehips. The underside of the handbrush and sides of both brushes are painted gold.

These hard to find brushes will add such a wonderful, pretty display to your dressing table or chest of drawers. The handbrush is approximately 24cm long and the clothes brush is approximately 18cm long. Both have age-related wear and markings as seen - one small section of the ribbonwork is missing from the clothes brush.
