Vintage French Miniature Cupboard (hw1378)

A delightful vintage wooden toy cupboard which dates to approx. 1930s/1940s. This decoratively shaped, miniature cupboard has its original pink painted finish with a diamond design either side of the door, which has an inset oval mirror. Inside, the cupbaord has a shelf and a covering of old French wallpaper lines the back. The door has a small metal handle - although the catch is not all that efficient, the door does stay closed. (Please note: the delphiniums painting is a reflection in the mirror.)

A lovely example of a piece of vintage miniature furniture. The cupboard is approximately 50cm high by 27cm wide. It has age-related wear and markings, for example, the top left hand corner of header plinth is chipped. The back of the cupboard appears to have been replaced in the last 20-30 years.
