1920s French Red and White Enamel Jars (hw1382)

A rare set of French enamel storage jars dating to the 1920s. This complete set consists of six canisters with lids will store sucre (sugar), Farine (flour), cafe (coffee), pates (pasta), chicoree (chicory) and poivre (pepper.) They have a superb check or tartan style pattern in red and white, with the words printed to the face. Each jar has the maker's mark and logo printed on the base and reads BB (Freres.)

This wonderful set will add vintage French style to your kitchen. The largest jar is approx. 7.5" high and the smallest is approx. 5" high. In excellent condition for their age, no fading. Some wear to enamel as seen, with the largest area on the cafe jar. Discolouration to the inside of the pates jar and corrosion to the inside of the farine lid. (Additional photo of wear/markings available.)
