1920s Flapper Dolls Head Hat Stand (hw1383)

A lovely old vintage hat stand dating to the 1920s. This wooden hat stand is painted gold and has a delightful painted porcelain head with pale blue velvet hat and a dainty blue and gold metallic thread ruffle trim around the neck. The base is also covered with pale blue velvet and has a soft inner padding. The underside of the base has its original black paper covering.

A super addition to a display of vintage millinery items. The hat stand is approximately 26cm high. It has age-related markings to the velvet and face and some minor creasing to the paper lined base. There is evidence that there may have once been a trim around the bottom edge of the velvet base.
