Superb Roses Oil Painting (pg461)

This is a very beautiful oil painting of roses. It is painted on board and depicts pink and golden roses displayed in a green glazed pot, which is standing upon a cloth covered table. The pretty tones and highlights are delightful and the overall effect is extremely pleasing to the eye. The painting is unsigned and dates to around the 1930s. The work may be after one of the great floral artists such as Maude Angell or Catherine Klein.

Whether set into a pretty vintage frame or left unframed to stand upon a shelf, this utterly charming painting will delight everyone who has a love for roses.

The painting is approximately 12" by 14". There are bumps and wear to the corners and edges (but these would be concealed if it were framed.)
