The New Boat by William Dring (pg5101)

This is an exceptionally rare and very charming antique print. It is entitled The New Boat and the original was painted by William Dring RA (1904-1990.) Dring was an accomplished artist who was famous for his portraits, often of family members. He was an official war artist and the Imperial War Museum own over 60 of his watercolours and several oil paintings. He was a noted exhibitor at the Royal Academy and in later life he painted official portraits including famous politicians such as Margaret Thatcher. This large and very appealing print of two young boys with their toy boat was painted in the early 1930s and the print dates to around the same time. It is set into its original frame.

A wonderful opportunity to own a rare print of a truly wonderful subject.

The frame is approximately 65cm by 55cm. The frame has age-related wear and markings.
