Sweet 1950s Donkeys and Pony Oil Painting (pg659)

This is such an adorable painting! It is a 1950s oil painting on canvas and depicts two donkeys and a pony, meeting at a gate in the meadow. Their sweet faces are simply adorable and the pretty countryside setting is captured perfectly. The style of the painting is aptly reminiscent of the era it was painted in, and the palette of colours used add much to its charm. The painting is unsigned and unframed. The canvas is securely pinned to its original wooden stretcher so it can be displayed without a frame, indeed, it looks so very charming propped upon a shelf or displayed alongside other vintage paintings.

The painting is approximately 56cm by 36cm. In excellent vintage condition, minimal signs of age.
