1933 Alice Painting by Alix Jennings (pg712)

A beautiful original oil painting by the renowned artist Alix Jennings. This is an oil painting on canvas of a pretty little girl named Alice Scatterbrook. The detail and colours are superb, notably her golden, unruly curls, the pink dress with shirred sleeves and bodice, her blue eyes and plump pink cheeks. The painting is signed and dated Alix Jennings 1933 and the reverse of the painting bears the name of the little girl. The painting is set into a wooden frame with gold detailing (frame is later than the painting.)

A most appealing painting by a very talented British artist. The frame is approximately 15" by 18" and the canvas is approximately 12" by 15". In excellent condition. A small light area to paint on left sleeve.
