1940s Lady and Horse Flour Millers Sign (pg720)

A most appealing vintage tinplate advertising sign dating to the late 1940s. The litho printed sign was made for Joseph Rank Ltd., flour millers of England (they became Rank Hovis McDougall in the early 1960s.) The sign depicts a lady leading a horse with two young children upon its back, surrounded by sheaths of corn. The sign has an inset cardboard backing with stand and hanging loop so that it can be displayed upon a counter top or hung on the wall.

This utterly charming display sign will look wonderful in a vintage styled kitchen and would make a special addition to a collection of vintage signs and advertising material. The sign is approximately 60.5cm by 37.5cm. It has age-related markings/wear as seen.
