Jacobean Design Barkcloth Fabric (1) (tx696)

This is a beautifully tactile fabric dating to the 1940s. It is a medium weight cotton barkcloth and is covered with a pretty Jacobean design against a pale taupe background. There is another panel of this fabric available in the Textiles section and a discount will be applied should you purchase both. The fabric was once made up as a curtain panel and has the narrow header tape attached with traces of a lining at the top.

The panel measures approximately 42" by 75" long. and the other is 63" wide by 82" long (the larger panel has a vertical join a third the way along.) There is wear down the very edges but that is because the edge was originally folded over and stitched to the lining, so this small strip could be removed leaving plenty of fabric for curtains etc. The colours are bright and pretty.
