1940s Rose and Floral Pink Rug (tx982)

A very beautiful rug dating to wartime and perfect for hearth or bedside. This is a woven, manufactured rug made from wool with a hessian backing. Although of a considerable age, this wonderful rug has retained its superbly pretty colours and the design of roses and flowers with tones of pink for the background, is such a treat. Rugs such as this were usually made by quality manufacturers of the day such as Axminster or Wilton.

For the finishing touch to any room, you simply can't 'beat' a vintage rug! The rug is approximately 27" by 50". In very good vintage condition. No notable marks or fading. Wear to edges and some small, occasional wear spots within the body. Tip: Any loose hessian at edges can usually be inexpensively 'whipped' by a local carpet fitter or secured with twine-like thread if you are handy with a needle.
