Gorgeous Floral Chintz Fabric (tx985)

A long length of unused, beautiful vintage cotton fabric which has its original glaze or 'chintz' finish. This is a narrow width fabric which usually pre-dates fabrics to 1940s or earlier. This fabric has a superb floral design of lilies, clematis, dahlias and morning glory against a silvery blue background. The design has a certain contemporary feel to it and the mossy-styled leaf design within the pattern is reminiscent of G P and J Baker - they were founded in 1884 so it may be one of their fabrics. The design lends itself perfectly for blindmaking and there is enough here to make several!

A beautiful, classical design of English florals. The fabric is approximately 32" (81cm) wide by 4 metres long. It is being sold by the metre. The first half metre has some general surface markings from storage (which look as if they will wash out.) Therefore, if ordering the full 4 metres, a discount will be given. In unused condition and excellent condition, apart from markings to one end as mentioned.
